  1. Information on how to enter and prize details form part of these Terms and Conditions. Any entry not complying with these Terms and Conditions is invalid.
  2. Entry is open to residents of Australia aged 18 years or older; employees of the Promoter, the Promoter’s associated companies, the Promoter’s agencies associated with this promotion and their immediate families are ineligible to enter (“Eligible Entrants”). “Associated companies" includes without limitation, the agents and contractors of the Promoter that are involved in:

    (a) the promotion or development of the promotion; and

    (b) the manufacturer or distribution of the Promoter's products. By entering the promotion you represent that you are eligible to enter the promotion based on these Terms and Conditions.

  3. The promotion commences at 00.01 local time on 11/07/2016 & concludes at 23.59 local time on 31/08/2016 (“Promotion Period”).
  4. To enter, Eligible Entrants must, during the Promotion Period:a. purchase any Pedigree product from a participating outlet in Australia that is promoting the promotion in-store (outlets will display promotion materials), and collect their receipt; and b. request an entry form at the time of purchase, complete all required details on the entry form including their name, email address, phone number, receipt number and choice of charity (two (2) charities selected in the discretion of the Promoter; charities will be included on the entry form), and submit their completed entry form in the entry box provided in-store.
  5. Entrants must retain their original receipt for each entry submitted.
  6. A limit of one (1) entry may be submitted per person per day and a limit of ten (10) entries may be submitted per person in total during the promotion, subject to each entry corresponding to a separate qualifying transaction.
  7. The Promoter reserves the right to require a consumer to provide proof of purchase for their entry/entries in order to claim the prize.
  8. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and reserves the right to disqualify any entrant for tampering with the entry process or for submitting an entry that is otherwise not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
  9. A manual Prize Draw will be conducted at 12 noon AEST on 15/09/2016 at Finlayson Communications, 1/30 Wangaratta Street, Richmond, VIC 3121 (“Draw Location”).
  10. The first Eligible Entrant drawn in the prize draw will win AUD$1,500 (awarded as a cheque or via direct deposit to their nominated Australian bank account) (“Prize”) and the charity nominated in their winning entry will be awarded AUD$15,000.
  11. The charity not selected in the winner’s eligible entry (the runner-up charity) will be awarded AUD$1 for every eligible entry that nominated them, up to a maximum of AUD$15,000.
  12. The winner will be notified by phone and email and their name and postcode will be advertised in The Australian on 12/10/2016.
  13. If the prize remains unclaimed at 11.00am AEDT on 15/12/2016, a re-draw will be conducted at 12 noon AEDT on 15/12/2016 at the Draw Location from all remaining eligible entries received in the Promotion, subject to any directions given by relevant lotteries or gaming authorities (“Re-Draw”). The Re-Draw winner (if any) will be notified by phone and email and their name and postcode will be advertised in The Australian on 11/01/2017. For the avoidance of doubt, in the instance of a Re-Draw, the Re-Draw winner’s nominated charity will be the charity that is awarded AUD$15,000 in accordance with clause 10.
  14. The total prize pool available in the competition is up to AUD$31,500.
  15. The Prize is not transferrable or exchangeable.
  16. As a condition of accepting the Prize, the Prize winner must sign any legal documentation as and in the form required by the Promoter and/or Prize providers in their absolute discretion, including but not limited to a legal release and indemnity form.
  17. All costs associated or arising in connection with the Prize are the responsibility of the Prize winner.
  18. No responsibility is accepted for any tax obligations which may arise for the Prize winner. The Promoter recommends that independent financial advice be sought. The winner will not receive or be able to receive any tax benefit for any prize money awarded to a charity as a result of this promotion.
  19. The Promoter is not liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered, including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss, or for personal injury suffered or sustained during the course of accepting or using the Prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter's liability is limited to the cost of replacing the Prize or benefit won.
  20. If more than one person attempts to claim the Prize, the Promoter has sole and absolute discretion to determine which of those persons the winning entrant is.
  21. Each entry becomes the property of the Promoter. Information provided by entrants will be used for the purposes of conducting the promotion and contacting the winner. All details will be held in accordance with the Mars Privacy Policy which can be accessed by visiting http://www.mars.com/global/policies/privacy/pp-australia-en.aspx The Privacy Policy contains information on:

     • how you may access the personal information that is held by us and seek correction of such information; and

  22. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify entries that do not meet these terms and conditions and/or any person who tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process as outlined in these terms and conditions. By providing your entry you consent to the Promoter using your personal information to determine whether any tampering or attempted tampering with the entry process has occurred.
  23. A claim for the Prize by a participant will be subject to security and verification checks.
  24. The Promoter does not accept responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries or entries not received by the Promoter.
  25. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  26. By entering the promotion, the Prize winner agrees to the use of their name, image and photograph/s for publicity and promotional purposes, without compensation, and agrees that the Promoter will own copyright in any such images and photograph/s and in all material incorporating the photograph/s.
  27. If for any reason this promotion is not capable of running as planned, whether caused by tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud or any other cause beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or integrity of the promotion, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion, (subject to any written direction given by the relevant regulatory authorities), to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion. The Promoter may in its sole discretion disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process.
